Established in May 2014 by co-founders Kim Rodosky, interior designer and mother of six, and Kim Johnson, director of business and retail operations, 503found is a Newport Beach showroom that sells art, furniture, lighting, and accessories. The loft-inspired space encompasses a curated collection of the latest home decor finds—including many one-of-a-kind finds—from Paris, New York and Los Angeles as well as art from local designers and artisans. 503found’s style is chic yet urban, appealing to a wide variety of design aesthetics, and offers a mix in vintage pieces with our own collaborated lines.

503found works directly with both established and just-discovered designers and artisans. The boutique strives to promote these local, small businesses by hosting in-house events and collaborations, spotlighting up-and-coming artists on their blog and giving back to the community.

“We are Newport Beach residents who work in this community to support our fellow designers and artisans. We love to collaborate and are open to all opportunities of connecting through great design,” said Rodosky. “We will constantly add new pieces to our collection that will be readily available in store and online.”

These fresh 503 “finds” include statement chandeliers, late 1800s art to contemporary sculptural art, antique pieces, as well as raw textiles and linens with which the team has created polished pillows and cushions—all of which were hand-selected by Rodosky straight from the Parisian design shows and flea markets.

Designer and artist compilations displayed at 503 Found include 1882 Ltd.’s Standard Ware and Crockery Bone China, London’s most refined and contemporary bone china brand; Julian Chichester’s furniture and home décor selections; Kim Salmela’s new textile collection; Zoe Pawlak’s recently introduced rugs inspired by her own paintings; sculptural barn style doors exclusively commissioned for the design house by Lucas Risé; and several custom furniture pieces that shape the store collection. The team blends these leading-edge styles with an assortment of well-known brands to create a thoughtfully edited collection of furniture and home accessories.

Additionally, 503 Found offers design consultation services and designer discounts in order to better serve customer needs.

Our Story

503found began as a shared vision between two friends who saw a gap in the Orange County design landscape. Kim Rodosky, with her trained eye for interiors and years of experience shaping family homes, wanted a place where the eclectic energy of Paris flea markets could meet the clean, modern lines of West Coast living. Kim Johnson brought the operational and retail expertise to turn that vision into a welcoming, functional showroom. Together, they created a space that feels less like a traditional store and more like a well-traveled friend's impeccably curated loft.

From the very first day, the philosophy has been simple: every piece must earn its place. The team travels extensively, hand-selecting items that tell a story, whether it's a vintage industrial cart from a Parisian brocante or a sculptural ceramic made by a local artist just miles from the showroom. This commitment to authenticity and discovery is what sets 503found apart in a world of mass-produced decor.

Our Curation Process

Finding the perfect piece is both an art and a science. The buying team at 503found spends countless hours scouring design shows, flea markets, and artist studios across Europe and the United States. They look for items that balance form and function, pieces that can anchor a room or add a subtle layer of texture. The result is a constantly evolving collection that reflects current trends while staying true to timeless design principles.

Each item is evaluated for quality, craftsmanship, and that indefinable "it" factor. The team asks: Does it spark conversation? Does it work with multiple styles? Will it still be loved in ten years? Only pieces that pass this rigorous filter make it to the showroom floor or the online store. This dedication to curation means that customers can shop with confidence, knowing that every item has been personally vetted by the founders.

Supporting Local Artisans

At the heart of 503found is a deep commitment to the creative community. The showroom actively seeks out emerging designers and artisans, offering them a platform to showcase their work alongside established brands. This symbiotic relationship benefits everyone: artists gain exposure and a retail outlet, while customers discover unique pieces they won't find anywhere else.

The team regularly hosts in-house events, trunk shows, and collaborative launches that bring the community together. These gatherings are more than just shopping opportunities; they are celebrations of creativity and craftsmanship. Visitors can meet the makers, hear the stories behind the pieces, and connect with like-minded design enthusiasts. Community Involvement

503found believes that a thriving business should contribute to a thriving community. The founders are Newport Beach residents who understand the importance of giving back to the place they call home. From charity events to local partnerships, the team looks for meaningful ways to make a difference.

One of the ways 503found gives back is through its Giving Back initiatives. These programs support local causes and organizations, often by donating a portion of proceeds from special events or collaborating on fundraising efforts. It's another way the showroom fosters collaboration and supports the broader design ecosystem.
